Janet M. Seever A native of Minnesota with a degree in education, Janet first began her "wandering" in 1975 shortly after her marriage. Her family's 26-year involvement in missions has taken them to exotic places like Mexico, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and Darwin, Australia. (And some less exotic places like Dallas, Texas, and Calgary, Alberta.) Janet's passion for writing developed when she took a writing course through the Christian Writers' Guild in 1983. Her writing has been published in Decision Magazine, Power for Living, Today's Christian Parent, FreeWay, The Church Record (Australia) and Challenge (England and Australia). Several short stories are currently featured on www.worthfinding.com and another short Christmas story is scheduled to be published in early November as part of an anthology called The Essence Treasury: Celebrating the Season. " A Rainbow for Jenny" won first place in the fiction division of the InScribe Christian Writers Fellowship writing contest in1998. Currently Janet and her husband, along with two adult children, live in Calgary, Alberta, where they have been for the past eight years, twice as long as they have lived in any other location. She is on the editorial staff of Word Alive magazine, a publication of Wycliffe Canada, and is a member of InScribe Christian Writers Fellowship. A number of her Word Alive articles are archived at www.wycliffe.ca.
