Amy Laurin
I am a fourteen year
old poet with a few good poems under my belt. Most began as creations
for my English class at school, but have taken true form through careful
revision and editing. Some of them are influenced by William Shakespeare,
particularly "Endgame" and "Ode to Chocolate"(which
celebrates my obsession with chocolate). This is because I tend to write
in free verse or Shakespearian Sonnet form.
My previous publications include poems on Themestream.com and
a few works in a creative writing anthology at the middle school I attend.
When I'm not writing,
I enjoy surfing the web (wetsuit not included), video games, beating
up boys in Tae Kwon Do class, web sight design, and acting loony (I'm
into drama.) I'm also working on a fantasy novella, which I hope to
complete by the turn of the century.
