FLICKERS OF HAPPINESS Pantoum

By David Ruslander

Happiness flickers through my brain.
A bald eagle circles a mosaic of fall colors.
A frost umbrella opens on a golden field.
Crisp autumn air tastes like a Wine sap.

A bald eagle circles a mosaic of fall colors
I drive by flowers at the crash site.
Crisp autumn air tastes like a Wine sap.
Through my mind a black dog runs;

I drive by flowers at the crash site
Leaves on the ground now crumpled shells.
Through my mind a black dog runs;
My horses stroll by the window.

Leaves on the ground now crumpled shells.
Contented creatures graze in morning sun.
My horses stroll by the window.
Air bubbles float under rice paper ice.

Contented creatures graze in morning sun.
Tulle fog fills my brain
Air bubbles float under rice paper ice.
I can't find myself anymore.

Tulle fog fills my brain
A giant gold sycamore leaf tumbles down
I can't find myself anymore.
The sun breaks through, an illusion of hope

A giant gold sycamore leaf tumbles down
A frost umbrella opens on a golden field.
White Egrets fly over the cypress swam.
Happiness flickers through my brain.
